Dualchas na Cloinne has the following aims:
2.1 To promote Scottish Highland oral tradition.
Scottish Highland oral tradition includes all new or old original material, whether visual, musical or oral, and any material collected or archived, which has been generated in any way in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland and/or culturally associated areas.
2.2 To promote the digitisation of archives of Highland oral tradition.
2.3 To promote the use of the Gaelic language.
2.4 To support other minority cultures and their languages.
Dualchas na Cloinne will achieve its aims by some or all of the following objectives:
3.1 The use of animation films (cartoons) and associated products.
3.2 Setting up programmes of related activities.
3.3 Entering into partnerships.
3.4 Encouraging collaboration with archive collections.
3.5 Encouraging mutual appreciation of traditions between Scottish and other ethnic minority groups.
